Volunteer Management Group®
seeks talented college students as interns to work with the VMG team for the Spring
(January-April) Semester, Summer break (May-August), and
Fall(September-December) Semester. Whatever your position, you become
an integral part of a team making a real difference in the lives of
VMG's clients - individuals employed in the nonprofit, volunteer
management and corporate philanthropy fields - as well as students in
VMG's programs. All opportunities are
working remotely (from home) with periodic team meetings in NYC.
Candidates must be located in the tri-state area.
Program Objective
The VMG Internship Program is an internship program for
college students. Its objective is to introduce college students with majors in Communications/Media/Event Management/Project Management to career opportunities where they can gain practical experience and training in the related fields. This program also introduces participants to subject matter in the area of VMG's core competencies: nonprofit management, volunteer management, grant writing and corporate philanthropy.
Ideal Candidate
The VMG internship opportunities are excellent for someone who is an independent, self-starter that wants to learn to be a
productive contributor to a team working remotely but can take
direction and run with it. These are all work-from-home internships;
however, interns are managed by Julie Marks, VMG's president and founder.
Compensation
All positions are non-paid internships;
however, interns are permitted to participate free-of-charge in VMG
conferences and events and online certificate programs effective for one year as of the
completion date of the internship. The intern is expected to commit 15
hours per week during a Spring, Summer or Fall internship.
