Jackie Ramos-Calderon, MSW

Social Worker, Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention, and Nonprofit Management Consultant

 


Jackie Ramos-Calderon is a Social Worker with 23 years of experience in the cancer field. Jackie joined Ralph Lauren Center For Cancer Care and Prevention in July 2009. Prior to joining Ralph Lauren, Jackie served as the Education and Public Policy Coordinator for the Greater NYC Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. For 11 years Jackie served as director of the YWCA Encore Plus Program in White Plains NY, a community education outreach program for uninsured immigrant women of color. Jackie was previously a psychosocial researcher for the Sylvester Cancer Center at the University of Miami School of Medicine and a Cancer Information Specialist at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC.

 

Jackie has been recognized for her dedication to her profession and received many awards, including:  

  • 2003 Komen BMW Local Hero Award
  • Sharing in Mission Award from St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY
  • 2008 recipient of the Mujeres Destacadas Award from El Dario La Prensa  

On August 10, 2008, Jackie was inducted into Cambridge Who’s Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry, for her dedication and  leadership in Social Services.  Jackie is a former member of the National Hispanic/Latina Advisory Council for Komen and a U.S. delegate to the Global Breast Cancer Advocate Summit in Budapest, Hungary and the Mexican Partnership Initiative.

 

Jackie holds a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University with a specialization in Global Services, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration from St. John’s University .
