What did you gain professionally from this program?
Great insight in terms of the systems that make a corporate philanthropy program work well

What did you gain personally from the program?
An appreciation for dedication, organization, and professionalism to reach my highest potential...

What was your favorite class and why?
I enjoyed all the classes. Each one brought something new and interesting. All the examples highlighted the challenges and rewards involved in the area of philanthropy.

If a friend or colleague asked you about taking this program, what would you tell them?
Do the course. It's worth it, it's enriching personally & professionally. All the information and systems provided are practical and user-friendly for application.

What suggestions do you have to improve the program?
The course met all my needs and I enjoyed and gained much from every lesson. I can not see how I would have wanted it to be any other way.

What else would you like to share with VMG regarding the program or your experience?
Thank you to Julie for making the course interactive. I appreciated the 'real-life' examples of her experience and enjoyed listening to her. I would do another course with VMG if need be in the future.

What did you gain professionally from the program?
"
I gained professionally because the program includes all aspects of corporate philanthropy in a neat, tidy package. There is a good “flow” from one topic to the next. In Canada there are very few places where this body of knowledge can be studied in this amount of depth and in such a reasonable amount of time. I am looking forward to redoing my resume with this new qualification on it. It will definitely give me an extra something when I start to look for my dream job."

What did you gain personally from the training?
"I gained personally because I didn’t know of all the topics involved in corporate philanthropy; it’s a great jumping off point to exploring other areas of interest."

What was your favorite class?
"All classes were interesting and valuable but I liked Corporate Volunteer Management because that’s the type of position I’d love to have."

What suggestions did you have?
"Can’t say that I have any suggestions because I thought it was perfect…good pace, lots of great readings and Youtube video, well done power points. Plus, the instructor, Julie Marks, is well versed on the subject matter and can give examples and good answers."

What did you gain professionally from this program?
I gained the additional knowledge needed from an experienced pro to enhance, formalize and improve and existing corporate philanthropic outreach program and make it the very best it can be!

What did you gain personally from the program?
Personally I gained greater insights into the importance of corporate philanthropy programs and the role I play asa a champion of these efforts within the company and a passion for further development of both what is already in place and my personal knowledge and experience base.

What was your favorite class and why?
I greatly enjoyed the instruction on Corporate Volunteer Programs both because of Julie's expertise in the realm and because Osprey's current program is somewhat lacking. I also got a lot out of Disaster Relief Initiatives for the simple fact that I do not have a lot of experience here.

If a friend or colleague asked you about taking this program, what would you tell them?
I would recommend it because I like the way the instructor incorporated what I was working on currently into the curriculum using the lectures to highlight the best way forward. The classes were interactive and the discussions lively as the lectures seemed to have a way of addressing important issues relating to projects I was currently working on or about to undertake.

What suggestions do you have to improve the program?
I can currently think of no suggestions to imporve the program except for possibly expanding the instruction offerings to address more topics in greater depth as I now find myself hungry for further knowledge and case studies! Very good just as it is though!
